Import from Access CSV

Export samples from Access as CSV with these columns (Access field names in parentheses are also accepted). Single-day and multi-day exports are supported — each row can have its own date_in_lab.

Required: lab_ref (labRef), date_in_lab (dateInLab)
Consultant: customer_id (cstID) or consultant / customer_name
Grower: producer_id (cstProdID) or grower / producer_name (pdr)
Farm: farm_id (cstFarmID) or farm / farm_name
Optional: cst_ref / sample_id (cstRef), test_tube (testTube), event_code (cstEventCode), year, master_ref (masterRef)

Attach tbl_cst.csv and tbl_pdr.csv lookup tables so cstID / cstProdID resolve to real names. Legacy placeholders are only used when a name is truly missing.

Basic information

Crop name Base crop name shown on reports (without yield goal). Yield goal (optional) Appended to the name, e.g. Soybeans-40 bu. Leave blank if not applicable. Crop group Required for new crops. Inherits existing P and K band tables for that group. Crop type Display category for organizing the crop list (separate from nutrient rule group).

Nitrogen (editable)

N (lbs/acre) Fixed nitrogen rate for this crop.

Phosphorus bands (P₂O₅ lbs/acre)

Phosphorus bands are shared by all crops in the same crop group. Editing them affects every crop in that group.

MinP and MaxP are soil test P ranges (ppm). reqP is the recommendation when soil P falls in that range.

Micronutrient recommendations

Lime is always calculated from soil test at report time. Mg, S, and Zn are normally calculated from soil test; check a box below to force that nutrient to 0 for this crop.

pH Robot CSV Import

Upload the robot CSV (Lab #, Tube #, Soil pH). Buffered pH is shown for reference only; buffer is calculated when you run Calculate.

Preview rows before importing — same workflow as Access pH robot export.

Import ICP (PerkinElmer CSV)

Upload the ICP export (Sample ID = test tube, Analyte Name, Reported Conc (Samp)). Lab refs are assigned as base lab ref + Sample ID (Access Transposer rule). Re-import replaces rows for the same lab ref.

Organic Matter — Batch Entry

Enter gross and net weights for pending (mutable) samples in a spreadsheet-style grid. % OM is calculated automatically. Press Enter in Gross or Net wt mode to advance between rows.

Same workflow as Access tbl_mantable — optimized for batch entry from the balance print.

Saved Reports

Browse and download soil report PDFs and CSVs saved from the Reports tab. Viewers see only reports within their assigned scope.
